JUNE 18, 2001 The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and three Connecticut towns will meet again today to discuss their differences over trust land. The towns have opposed any attempts by the tribe to seek trust status for land they have purchased. They are suing the Department of Interior over 165 acres of land but so far the courts have sided in favor of the federal government and the tribe. The Supreme Court in May rejected the state's appeal to challenge the latest ruling. Get the Story:
