The Squaxin Tribe of Washington and the South Puget Sound Community College last week celebrated two years of a successful archaeological dig at an historic tribal village.

Work began in 1999 on the Eid Inlet site, which dates back 500 to 1,000 years. The site is considered one of the richest in the state and the tribe and students at the school have uncovered a wide variety of artifacts.
