JUNE 19, 2001 The Woonsocket school board of South Dakota on Monday voted to delay by two months getting rid of the high school's "Redmen" nickname. The board says the delay will be used to educate the community about the change. A task force of students, faculty and community members will study the issue. The change is set to go into effect in September instead of July 1. Get the Story:
