FEBRUARY 5, 2001 Dr. Karen Gayton Swisher was inaugurated Friday as the new President of Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas. Swisher said some of her goals as Presidnet would be attaining full university status for the tribal college, improving communication and dissemination of information, and diversification of financial support.
