RAPID CITY -- There seems to be no stopping the growth of the Professional Indian Horse Racing Association as they have announced exclusively to Lakota Country Times that a new race venue has been acquired.

Fans of the Black Hill Motor Speedway can now plan on preparing to witness a different kind of "horse power" as the iconic site located in Rapid City will host its own series of Indian Relays as part of a new partnership between the track and the Professional Indian Horse Racing Association.

In a phone call from PIHRA Board of Directors member Calvin Ghost Bear confirmed to Lakota Country Times that from October 7-9, 2016, the Black Hills Motor Speedway will convert itself into a site capable of hosting one of the fastest growing sports in Indian Country.

"This is a big deal as we are going to be able to bring this sport to a larger audience," said Ghost Bear.
