Carly McIntosh suffers from temporal lobe epilepsy and has found some relief in medical marijuana:
When I was prescribed medical marijuana with higher amounts of THC, that is when I started noticing changes with my epileptic seizures. As I vaporized my medical marijuana there started to be a decrease in numbers for complex seizures. The greater amount of THC in my medical marijuana is helping stop the full power of my complex seizure. With taking medical marijuana it stops my complex seizure from having its full strength, the medical marijuana is a wall that my complex seizure cannot pass. With complex seizures not being able to succeed one problem is that my aura seizures are changing and have become stronger. The length of time for a aura seizure has increased, and the increase in strength has made me feel as if I am closer to passing out. With my complex seizure becoming weak, my body is telling my aura seizures to keep fighting. Medical marijuana is just like dealing with man-made medication, you have to find just the right amount for your own body. I believe the THC in medical marijuana is helping me deal more with my epilepsy, then anything else I have ever tried. My doctor and I believe increasing the THC in the medical marijuana will help in taking control of my aura seizures in time.Get the Story:
