Youth from the Oglala Sioux Tribe in South Dakota will join First Lady Michelle Obama at the White House tomorrow. Students from the tribe's Child Care and Development Program were among 10 schools and locations selected by the first lady to help harvest the White House Kitchen Garden. They are part of of the Let's Move! In Indian Country initiative that aims to reduce high rates of childhood obesity. "To help her with the harvest, Mrs. Obama invited children from schools and locations that participate in the ten Let’s Move! programs, representing the millions of Americans that have been impacted by the Let’s Move! initiative," the White House said in a statement.

Obama broke ground on the garden in March 2009. In June 2011, she brought Native youth to the White House to harvest some of the crops and plant corn, squash and beans -- otherwise known as the three sisters of Native agriculture. Tomorrow's event is scheduled to take place at 3:30pm and will be streamed at www.whitehouse.gov/live.
