Voters of the Muscogee Nation of Oklahoma narrowed the field of candidates for the principal chief position. George Tiger, the incumbent, came in second in a primary held on September 19. He received 1,179 votes, according to the unofficial results.

Challenger James Floyd received 1,282 votes, according to the results. He will face Tiger in the general election on 7. Three other candidates also ran for chief. All are members of the Muscogee National Council who have spoken out against Tiger's leadership. Get the Story:
