“The Native Farmers Market will help give us healthy choices right in our own community," council member Julius Peters said in a press release. "Our ancestors remained healthy by consuming fresh fruits and vegetables.”

The tribe received a $200,000 grant from the Department of Agriculture to build the pavilion for the market, which is open every Tuesday.
