Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D) is still interested in the Washington NFL team but he seemed less excited about the idea during an appearance on his monthly radio show. McAuliffe said the state has offered sites to the team, which currently plays at the FedEx Field in Maryland. But he cautioned that a deal may not work out. “Now, we chase every deal very aggressively," McAuliffe said on WRVA. "But then we get down to the numbers, and we may have to walk away." Mayor Muriel Bowser of Washington, D.C., is also interested in the team. But Interior Secretary Sally Jewell has said she won't agree to a new stadium lease as long as the team maintains its racist mascot. The team used to play at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium.
