Giago to be on South Dakota Public Radio on April 29
By Native Sun News

Tim Giago, former editor and publisher of Native Sun News, will be a guest on Karl Gerke’s afternoon talk show on South Dakota Public Radio to talk about his book "Children Left Behind: The Dark Legacy of Indian Mission Boarding Schools."

The book is about growing up at an Indian Mission boarding school on the Pine Ridge Reservation in the 1940s and 1950s. Giago’s book was first published in 1978 and updated in 2007. He credits the book, which he started to write at age 17, as the greatest catharsis to the conflicting feelings he and other boarding school students endured during those days.
