The Blood Tribe of Alberta announced charges against three people in connection with drug overdose deaths on the reserve. Two people died after using an illicit version of fentanyl, known on the street as Oxy 80, at a birthday party on Friday, the The Blood Tribe Police Service said. A third person also overdosed and is recovering in a hospital. "If you are selling drugs in this community we are going to come after you, if someone dies from drugs you have sold them we will do everything in our power to hold you legally responsible for your actions," the police service said in a press release. "There is zero tolerance for drug dealers." A fourth person also overdosed last week but was apparently not connected to the party. He survived the incident.
