A young member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe of South Dakota who has been charged with child abuse will remain under supervision in a medical center, the Associated Press reported. Michelle Wounded Face, 24, is accused of leaving her two daughters, aged 2 and 4, alone in a car on a freezing-cold day in January. The incident occurred on the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation in North Dakota. A federal judge ordered a mental health evaluation after authorities reported that Wounded Face has been exhibiting erratic behaviors and making incoherent statements. She is being observed in a Bureau of Prisons medical facility in Texas, the AP reported. The report into Wounded Face's competency is due in late April or early May. Get the Story:
