The Oglala Sioux Tribe has banned an attorney who is representing man accused of harassing 57 Indian students in Rapid City, South Dakota. The tribal council passed the resolution banning Patrick Duffy on February 24, KELO reported. His client is Trace O'Connell, 41, who has been charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct for an incident in which the children were subjected to racial slurs and had beer poured on them at a hockey game in January. Duffy runs a law office in Rapid City. The Sioux Falls Argus Leader described him as a "prominent" attorney who once represented the South Dakota Democratic Party. Duffy is co-counsel for a woman from the Rosebud Sioux Tribe whose eight-year-old daughter was tasered by a police officer in Pierre in October 2013. Get the Story:
