The Senate Indian Affairs Committee has scheduled a business meeting and oversight hearing on Wednesday. Three bills are on the agenda for the business meeting. They are:
• S.230, A bill to provide for the conveyance of certain property to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation of Alaska.The business meeting starts at 2:30pm but will not be webcast. It will be immediately followed by an oversight hearing on the fiscal year 2016 budget request for Indian programs. A witness list for the hearing hasn't been posted online. Committee Notices;
• S.321 A bill to allow the Miami Nation to revoke its charter under the Oklahoma Indian Welfare Act.
• S.501, A bill to make technical corrections to a water rights settlement between the Navajo Nation and the state of New Mexico.
