The House Natural Resources Committee will hold hearings on tribal and Alaska Native bills next week.

On Tuesday, the Subcommittee on Public Lands and Environmental Regulation will consider H.R.5167. The bill authorizes the conveyance of land within the National Petroleum Reserve to the Olgoonik Corporation, an Alaska Native corporation.

On Wednesday, the Subcommittee on Indian and Alaska Native Affairs holds a hearing on two bills. The first is H.R.1600, the Requirements, Expectations, and Standard Procedures for Executive Consultation with Tribes (RESPECT) Act, a bill to codify how tribal consultation occurs with federal agencies.

The second is H.R. 4668, the Point Spencer Coast Guard and Public-Private Sector Infrastructure Development Facilitation and Land Conveyance Act. The bill conveys land to Bering Straits Native Corporation, an Alaska Native corporation.
