BIA officer involved in fatal shooting on Wind River Reservation

The FBI is investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting on the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming.

A car carrying three people was stopped on the reservation by a Fremont County sheriff's deputy. A Bureau of Indian Affairs officer arrived on the scene and fatally shot one of the passengers, according to news reports.

The incident occurred on Tuesday evening. The name of the deceased individual has not been released.
