Sami Jo Difuntorum elected as leader of Indian housing group

The National American Indian Housing Council has a new leader.
Sami Jo Difuntorum, a member of the Shasta Nation of California, was elected chair at NAIHC's 40th annual conference in Kansas City, Missouri, this week. She serves as executive director of housing for the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians in Oregon.
Difuntorum will serve a two-year term, according to a press release. She succeeds Cheryl Causley, a member of the Bay Mills Indian Community of Michigan.
