Keenan Stewart, a young member of the Chickahominy Tribe, is featured in an educational video about the 11 tribes in Virginia.

Stewart, a fifth-grade student, answers questions about tribal history and culture in the video, titled "The Virginia Indians: Meet the Tribes." It is part of the Virginia's First People: Past and Present curriculum from the state Department of Education.

Despite helping the settlers at Jamestown and signing the earliest treaties, Virginia's tribes lack recognition from the federal government. S.1074 would extend recognition to six of the tribes in the state.
