Energy giant Chevron continues to fight a $9 billion judgment awarded to the Cofan people of Ecuador.

The Cofans won an $18 billion judgment over pollution attributed to Chevron. The award was reduced last week to $9 billion by Ecuador's highest court but the company is trying to discredit the ruling in the U.S. judicial system.

Chevron has sued Steven Donziger, the attorney who represents the tribe in the case. The company claims the judge in Ecuador who issued the decision didn't actually write it.

The trial is proceeding in federal court in New York. The judge who issued the decision and a second judge who claimed bribes were sought of Chevron have testified.
