The
Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa
in Wisconsin announced Operation Pandora to crack down on drug abuse on the reservation.
Tribal officers joined other law enforcement agencies in a series of raids on Wednesday. More than 20 people were arrested in connection with drug trafficking.
“Our goal is to greatly impact the availability of drugs on our streets,"
Chairman Tom Maulson said in a press release
.
More arrests are planned.
