The former director of housing for the
Narragansett Tribe
of Rhode Island has pleaded guilty for stealing federal funds.
Rosilyn W. Brown
, 63, admitted that she took more than $100,000 in funds provided to the tribe by the
Department of Housing and Urban Development
. She used the money for personal expenses, the
U.S. Attorney's Office in Rhode Island
said.
Brown faces sentencing on July 16. She could be punished with up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
