The
Cabazon Band of Mission Indians
in California has a new leader.
Douglas Welmas won election as chairman. He succeeds David Roosevelt, who served in the post since 2009.
Also elected were San Juanita Callaway as vice chairwoman, Helen Ruth Callaway as secretary-treasurer, Alexis Nichols as general council liaison and Brenda Soulliere as member-at-large.
