An Associated Press-GfK poll shows widespread support for the controversial
Washington Redskins
professional football mascot.
About 79 percent support keeping the name, which is considered offensive to Native Americans. That's down 10 percent from the level of support found in a poll from 1992, the AP reported.
Only 11 percent said the team should drop its mascot.
