Moapa Band plans another solar energy project on reservation





The Moapa Band of Paiute Indians in Nevada is planning another solar energy project on its reservation.

The tribe recently won approval for a 350 megawatt facility on 2,000 acres. The new project involves a 2,000 megawatt facility on 1,000 acres.

The Bureau of Indian Affairs will be preparing an environmental impact statement for the project.
