Blackfeet Nation narrows candidates for tribal council seats
The Blackfeet Nation of Montana held a primary election for five council seats.

Ninety-two candidates ran for the open seats. Voters narrowed the field to 10 candidates for the June 29 general election.

Three incumbents advanced to the general election, Two other incumbents declined to seek re-election.

The field of challengers includes former longtime chairman Earl Old Person Sr., who is running to represent Browning District Position No. 2.
