The Augustine Band of Cahuilla Indians of California is donated $20,000 for relief efforts in Haiti.
The tribe is making the donation to the Salvation Army. The money will go directly to people in Haiti.
“My heart goes out to the people of Haiti, who have suffered so much following the massive earthquake that struck their country this month," Chair MaryAnn Green said in a press relase that was posted on Pechanga.net. "Our tribe felt compelled to contribute to the effort to help the Haitian people."
