A judge in Manitoba dismissed a lawsuit filed against the owners of a home where a 14-year-old Native boy died.
Justice Shawn Greenberg said Roger Roesler and Debbie McKelvey weren't responsible for Nathan Starr's death in December 2007. The judge said two men who firebombed the house and were convicted of manslaughter are to blame.
The two men belonged to the Indian Posse, a Native street gang. The men thought they were firebombing the house of rival gang members.
Starr died of smoke inhalation.
