Joe Medicine Crow to speak at NWC buffalo feast
Joe Medicine Crow, a member of the Crow Tribe of Montana, will speak at the annual Native Ways Buffalo Feast at Northwest College on November 20.

Medicine Crow, 97, is the last living war chief of the Crow people. He is known for his work on the Battle of Little Big Horn, the 1876 battle in which his grandfather served as a scout for General George Armstrong Custer.

Medicine Crow received the 2009 Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian award, at a White House in August. He has also received the Congressional Gold Medal, Bronze Star and Legion d'honneur, the highest decoration given in France.
