Shakopee Tribe ready to run wind turbine
The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community of Minnesota has installed a $1.8 million wind turbine on the reservation.

The turbine will provide up to 1.5-megawatts of power. It is expected to supply enough energy for all residents of the reservation.

The tribe installed the turbine last weekend and will be conducting tests in the coming days. It is expected to be fully operation by mid-October.
