Indian parents in court over school dress code
A federal judge holds a hearing today to determine whether to stop a school district on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation in South Dakota from enforcing its dress code.

The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe and some parents sued the Cheyenne-Eagle Butte School District over a dress code for kindergarten, 7th and 8th grade students. They say they should have been consulted before the change went into effect.

The tribe and the parents want the school to stop enforcing the dress code while Judge Charles Kornmann considers their case.
