Members of the Yankton Sioux Tribe of South Dakota re-elected Robert Cournoyer as chairman.
Cournoyer defeated Galen Drapeau Jr. by 513 votes to 460 votes. "That was a close one!" Cournoyer told The Wagner Announcer.
Karen Archambeau defeated incumbent John Stone by 516 votes to 450 votes. Stone failed to disclose a prior felony conviction prior to the election.
