Yakama Nation withdraws from cleanup council
The Yakama Nation of Washington is withdrawing from a natural resources council over tribal fishing concerns.

The tribe says the Environmental Protection Agency and the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality need to include the Columbia River in cleanup plans for the contaminated Portland harbor. The tribe says salmon in the Columbia are affected by toxins in the harbor.

The council includes five other tribes and representatives of state and federal agencies.
