WaPo Chat: A Native American on Supreme Court
Should President Barack Obama appoint a Native person to the U.S. Supreme Court? One person on The Washington Post Politics chat thinks so.

"This push for a Hispanic Justice is the wrong kind of first, succumbing to political pressure over the need for real Justice in our federal courts and failing to address our racist precedents," the person writes. "Appoint a Native American Justice first. Then Native Americans on each of the federal Courts of Appeals, then some Native American District Court judges, then we can talk about race politics and appointing a Hispanic to the S.Ct."

Obama is reportedly considering a few Hispanic people for the seat being vacated by Justice David Souter.
