Two tribes donate maximum for Obama inaugural
Two tribes each donated a maximum of $50,000 to the inaugural committee for President-elect Barack Obama.

The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians of California and the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma are among the 2,000-plus donors to the committee. Both tribes have politically active leaders and the Cherokees have major issues pending in Washington, D.C.

A total of $27 million was raised by the committee.
