School district seeks to boost Indian achievement
The public school district in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is on a five-year plan to improve Indian student achievement levels.

More Indian students are graduating in the Sioux Falls School District. Last year, 42 completed high school, compared to 24 in 2006 and 18 in 2005.

Test scores for Indian students remain lower than the general population. Fewer than half of last year's juniors were proficient in math and reading.
