Mashantucket Tribe faces another union effort
Firefighters employed by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut are moving to organize into a union.

The employees plan to join the Uniformed Professional Fire Fighters Association of Connecticut. A source told The New London Day that the firefighters will organize under tribal law.

The tribe recently came to an agreement with some gaming employees to organize under tribal law, rather than federal law.
