Oglala Sioux Tribe releases official election results
The Oglala Sioux Tribe of South Dakota released official results from its November 4 election.

Former state Sen. Theresa Two Bulls won the president's race with 2,443 votes. Activist/actor Russell Means had 2,083 votes.

For vice president, incumbent William “Shorty” Brewer defeated Alice Perkins 2,330 to 2,186. Results for seven council races also were finalized but the Oglala Sioux Nation Supreme Court ordered a new election for one district.

Two Bulls will be the second woman to lead the tribe.
