Cherokee Nation offers small business loans
The Cherokee Nation is opening its small business loan program to all federally recognized tribal members who live within the tribe's jurisdictional area.

The Micro Enterprise Adult/Youth Opportunity Loan Funds are open to entrepreneurs as young as 13. Applicants must meet low-income guidelines set by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

"We're specifically set up to help those people who aren't able to go to a bank," Lahoma Davidson of the tribe's Small Business Assistance told The Tulsa World. "That market has grown exponentially over the last few months."
