Havasupai Tribe evacuated from Grand Canyon

About 400 people, including members of the Havasupai Tribe, were evacuated from the Grand Canyon on Sunday due to flooding.

Tribal members and tourists were helicoptered out of the canyon after a dam broke. Evacuees were transported about 60 miles away to the Hualapai Reservation.

No injuries were reported. Some homes in a tribal village were reportedly swept away by the flood.
