Fort Peck woman sentenced for boyfriend's death
A 21-year-old woman from the Fort Peck Reservation in Montana was sentenced to 32 months in prison, plus five years of supervised release, for stabbing her boyfriend to death.

Stanette Crowe was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter earlier this year. She claimed self-defense when in the stabbing of 22-year-old Donald Eagleman on New Year's Day of 2007.

Crowe sought leniency but Judge Sam Haddon sentenced her to the upper range of the federal recommended sentencing guidelines.

The crime was jointly investigated by the Fort Peck Tribes and the FBI.
