Sen. Johnson endorses Barack Obama for president
Thursday, January 10, 2008

Sen. Tim Johnson (D-South Dakota), a member of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee, endorsed Sen. Barack Obama (D-Illinois) for president.

Johnson praised Obama's bipartisan spirit. He joins former Sen. Tom Daschle (D-South Dakota) in supporting the first-term senator, who lost the New Hampshire to Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-New York) on Tuesday but defeated her at the Iowa caucuses last week.

Johnson is in South Dakota this week. He will visit the Lower Brule Sioux Reservation tomorrow and meet with Chairman Michael Jandreau and the tribal council.
