Youth with disabilities summit in Albuquerque

The National Indian Health Board and the National Congress of American Indians are co-hosting the Tribal Summit for American Indian and Alaska Native Young Adults with Disabilities.

NIHB and NCAI partnered with the Indian Health Service to host the summit, which takes place May 30-June 1 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The goal is to help tribal, state and local officials address the needs of Native youth and young adults with disabilities ages 16 to 30.

At least 550,000 American Indians and Alaska Natives have one or more disabilities, according to NCAI.
