Coeur d’Alene Tribe is top employer in Idaho
The Coeur d’Alene Tribe is one of the top three employers in Idaho, according to a new study.

The tribe employs more than 1,400 people through its governmental operation and business enterprises. This has an impact of $250 million on the regional economy, a research economist at the University of Idaho’s College of Business and Economics said.

“We are major players in the North Idaho economy,” said Chairman Chief Allan, The Spokesman Review reported. “When I was a kid growing up here, there were no jobs. That’s changed in my lifetime, over the last 15 years.”

The study was commissioned by the tribe.
