Wisconsin board pulls back sale of land to tribe

For the second time this year, the Wisconsin Building Commission has delayed the sale of 1,487 acres of farmland to the Oneida Nation.

The tribe wants to buy the land for $8.18 million. The tribe would then lease about 1,300 acres back to the state for 10 years and build a $1.49 million sewer line.

But commissioners questioned the length of the agreement and said they need to do more work before the sale is approved.
