Report targets illegal dumping on reservations

A new report from the University of California, Los Angeles gives a barely passing grade of "C" to the condition of reservations in southern California.

The UCLA Institute of the Environment said illegal dumping is a growing problem facing tribes. The report found numerous instances of dangerous pollutants on 35 reservations.

The report said the state and federal government haven't done enough to address the problem. The report recommends more cooperation with tribes to reduce illegal dumping.
