Agua Caliente Chair: Union wrong to fight tribe

"Unfortunately, some local community activists have become involved in the nefarious tactics of certain labor union organizations. Pandering to their concerns for the community, H.E.R.E, the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees Union, has inflamed these residents with blatant disregard for the truth.

They are using Palm Springs residents as pawns and a smokescreen for the H.E.R.E union. H.E.R.E. is part of the powerful AFL-CIO, based in New York, and they have contributed $148,000 to defeat Measure U and disrupt the Tribes good standing in the community. Why?

They have attempted to unionize tribal employees for the past two years, not through conventional means, but by dishonorable means; our team members have simply chosen not to join."
