Tribal police chiefs seek access to state databases

The California Tribal Police Chiefs Association's lawsuit against the state has been transferred to a different court.

The lawsuit seeks access to the state's law enforcement databases. It was filed in Riverside County, where the associated in based.

But the state attorney general asked for a change of venue, saying Riverside County was too out of the way. So the judge granted a motion to move to Sacramento.

The state is opposing the request for access to the databases.
