Farmington Inter-tribal dedicates new hogan

The Farmington Inter-tribal Indian Organization in New Mexico dedicated a new hogan on Wednesday.

Work on the hogan began in December. But it couldn't be used until it was completely finished and was blessed by a medicine man.

The organization got its start in the 1970s, when racial tensions in Farmington were high. It has become a cultural and educational institution, with 21,000 people visiting annually.
