Pechanga Band's growth spurs need for more water

The Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians is negotiating agreements to bring more water to the reservation.

The tribe has experienced growth in recent years with the expansion of its casino. There are also concerns that water is running low due to drought conditions.

The tribe has talked to the Eastern Municipal and Rancho California water districts, The Riverside Press-Enterprise reported. The tribe is seeking about 1 million gallons of reclaimed water a day from the Eastern district, an official said.
